Patty's life began in Tillamook, OR born to Loring Grant"Bob" Robinson and Iva Ilene (Wells) Robinson with siblings Betty, Donna, Grant, Nancy, Jack, John and Terry Robinson. The family ran a dairy farm on the Wilson River. She is a descendant of Tillamook pioneers and settlers. When Patty was about 8 years old, a young man came walking down the road looking for work and as he approached the Robinson home Patty and her sisters from their vantage point up in a tree through rotten potatoes & apples at him. This young man must have remembered that little rascal of a girl because ten years later he came back, asked her out on a date and on that first date asked her to marry him. Patty said yes and they were married Feb.21,1947 in Tillamook. They spent 61 years together raising three beautiful daughters in their homes at Sumner & Coos Bay, Oregon: Linda Huntley Lemmons, Donna Huntley Nollen, and Judy Huntley Achen. If you walk across the bridge in Mingus park in Coos Bay, Oregon, just look up and you will see their little home as their back and side yard connected with the park. This is where their grand kids would visit them and a family grew in so much love all from these two wonderful people. Patty loved her family, enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, keeping a beautiful yard, listening to Charlie Pride country music, watching Bonanza, and walking with her husband John Earl Huntley. Other than her husband and daughters Patty's greatest joy and love were her seven grand children: Julie, Lori, Shelly, Lisa, Mark, John, and Craig. Patty was great at taking pictures and making photo albums of her loved ones and she made an album for each of her girls and grandchildren. John & Patty Huntley were loved by many and their life together is truly a love story.
