Betty was born in Somerset, Kentucky on November 17th, 1932, daughter of the late Mitchel and Beatrice Wesley Butt. Betty was a bookkeeper for Somerset Automotive and a member of Duke Memorial Baptist Church. She loved collecting antiques, refinishing furniture, and painting.
Betty was survived by one daughter, Michelle S. Godbey; one brother, Rondal (and Phyllis) Butt; one sister, Hollis Gleason; three nieces, Debra (and Darrell) Lyons, Rhonda (and Eddie) Baker, and Melanie (and Jim) Massa; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Estill "Satch" Godbey, Jr., who departed this life on October 1st, 2000; and her parents, Mitchel Butt, who departed this life on December 13th, 1973 and Beatrice Butt, who departed this life on August 24th, 1980; paternal-grandparents, Morris Harlen Butt and Nora Ellen Roy Butt; and maternal-grandparents, Gahala Wesley and Sarah Flynn Wesley.
Visitations were held on Saturday, January 18th, 2014 after 10:00 a.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 18th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. David Morris officiating.
Burial followed in the Science Hill Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
