Rondal G. Butt, 79 years of age, of Arrington, Tennessee, departed this life on Friday, August 21st, 2015.
Rondal was born in Somerset, Kentucky on February 24th, 1936, son of the late Mitchel and Beatrice Wesley Butt. Rondal was a member of Parkway Baptist Church, served as deacon for many years, and was an active participant in the Helping Hands Ministry. He was a veteran who served in the United States Army and a retired owner/operator in the Trucking Industry. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and PaPaw.
Ronal was survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Phyllis Butt; two daughters, Rhonda (and her husband, Eddie) Baker and Melanie (and her husband, Jim) Massa; three grandchildren, Christopher Massa, Houston Baker, and Benjamin Massa; one sister, Hollis Ruth Butt Gleason; two nieces, Debby Lyons and Michelle Godbey; one brother-in-law, Richard (and his wife, Janet) Whitaker; three sister-in-laws, Jeanette Wright, Fran (and her husband, Ed) Roberts, and Sheila (and her husband, Danny) Roberts; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by her parents, Mitchel Butt, who departed this life on December 13th, 1973 and Beatrice Butt, who departed this life on August 24th, 1980; and one sister, Betty Elizabeth Godbey, who departed this life on January 16th, 2014.
Visitations were held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23rd, 2015 at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna, Tennessee and one hour prior to the service on Monday at Parkway Baptist Church in Smyrna.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24th, 2015 at Parkway Baptist Church with Bro. Dan Parker officiating.
His pallbearers were: Ed Roberts, Danny Roberts, Richard Witaker, Eddie Baker, Jim Massa, Christopher Massa, Houston Baker, and Benjamin Massa. His honorary pallbearers were active and inactive deacons of Parkway Baptist Church.
Burial followed in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
