Estill was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on October 24th, 1929, son of the late Estill T. Godbey, Sr. and Stacie Wesley Godbey. He was the former owner of City and Veterans Cab Company, and a member of the Seven Oaks Baptist Church.
Estill was survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mildred Elizabeth "Betty" Butt Godbey, whom he married in Science Hill, Kentucky on June 23rd, 1951; one daughter, Michelle Sue Godbey; two sisters, Geneva (and Lloyal) Wesley and Chestine Blevins; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Estill T. Godbey, Sr. and Stacie Godbey; and two brothers, Robert Lee Godbey and Charles Godbey.
Visitations were held after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2000 at the Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4th, 2000 in the Chapel of the Somerset Undertaking Company with Rev. Roy Alexander and Rev. David Morris officiating.
Burial was in the Science Hill Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
