MUNCIE--Former resident Thaddora F. Smith, 87, Geneva, died Tuesday in Adams County Hospital, Geneva, after a long illness.
Mrs. Smith attended school in Muncie. She worked at Ball Brothers, Durham Manufacturing, Muncie Gear and Ball Memorial Hospital. She attended Pentecostal Apostolic Church, Geneva.
Survivors include five sons, Bruce Thomas (wife: Judy), Harry Thomas (wife: Sharon), Harold Thomas (wife: Joyce), Henry Thomas, and Lafayette B. Smith Jr.; four daughters, Viola Sells, Lena Lycan (husband: Lowell), Lois Arnold Austin, and Janice E. Mackey; two brothers, Glen Alberson and William Alberson; three sisters, Wanda, Catherine Landis (husband: William) and Bonnie Whitted, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Eugene Thomas and Lafayette B. Smith; a son; three brothers, and three sisters.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Parson Mortuary. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 12:30 p.m. Friday at Parson Mortuary.
