Marjorie Sutherland "Suthey" Jensen, Wife, Mother, Sister, and Grandmother passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2004 of natural causes.

She was born in Garfield, Utah, July 15, 1921 to Bertha Andrus and J. Rex Sutherland. At age 11, she met her sweetheart, Floyd B. "Shum" Jensen. They were married May 21, 1944 in Salt Lake City.

She attended Salt Lake City schools and graduated from East High School and the University of Utah, affiliating with Kappa Kappa Gamma and Spurs.

Marge and her husband Shum were active in the Utah Land Title Association, the American Land Title Association, and the Utah Home Builders Association. She was also President of the Salt Lake City Garden Club. She and Shum were active in the American Heart Association, donating many hours to fund raising. She loved her Bridge Club which met for almost 60 years, and spent many enjoyable hours with her many friends.

She is survived by her three sons, Michael J. Jensen (Lyn), Jeffrey Jay Jensen (Beth), and Thomas Shum Jensen (Lisa). She was also a wonderful Grandmother to nine Grandchildren and fourteen Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd B. "Shum" Jensen and sisters, LaRue Holman and Lorraine Bradshaw.

The family would like to thank Dr. Chris Gay and Community Nursing Services Hospice for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Utah Heart Association.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 4th at 12:00 noon at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr. where friends may call from10:45-11:45 prior to the service.
