Larue County Herald, Thurs, Oct 11, 1956:

Mrs. Katherine Slaughter Enlow, 57 years, wife of Henry S. Enlow, died unexpectedly last Wednesday afternoon at her home near Athertonville.

A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Slaughter, Mrs. Enlow was born and reared near town and since her marriage had resided in the Athertonville section.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles Hielen, of Stanford, Ky.; a son, Robert Lewis Enlow, of near Athertonville; three sisters, Mrs. C. P. Thurman, of Louisville; Mrs. Lewis Abell, of Jackson, Miss., and Mrs. Dave Boyd, of Elizabethtown and several grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at Hodgenville Methodist Church, of which she was a member conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. D. Craven. Interment was in Red Hill Cemetery.
