Doris Hicks
Doris Hicks, 81, of McKinney Court, Stanford, died Thursday, May 20 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
A native of Larue Co., she was born May 6, 1923 to the late Henry and Kathenne Slaughter Enlow. She was a retired social worker for the Department of Human Resources, a charter member of the Dix River Country Club, member of the .New Beginnings Methodist Church, and the widow of Charles S. Hicks.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy (Louis) Effinger of Versailles and Judy (Mark) Mountjoy of Danville; one brother, Robert Louis Enlow of Hodgenville; and five grandchildren, Brian Mountjoy, Summer Mountjoy, Amy Effinger, Charles Effinger, and Rachel Effinger.
Funeral services were held Sunday. May 23 at Fox Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Beck officiating-. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
