Irene Virginia Mostoller Zakucia, 85, (formerly of Pocahontas) went home to be with the Lord at Meyersdale Medial Center in Meyersdale on July 5, 2012. Born Sept. 6, 1926, the daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Logson) Crissinger of Sand Patch. Preceded in death by husbands; Robert L. Mostoller and Paul M. Zakucia. Preceded in death by sisters and brothers: Mary Faidley, Bertha Simms, Florence Crissinger, Rita Brenneman, Gordon Eli, Anna Jean Bane, Harvey E. Crissinger, Etta Jane Lewes and Henry Crissinger. Survived by sons: Robert L. Mostoller, Bucyrus, Ohio; Clyde L. and wife Kathy of Salisbury; daughters: Joanne Miller and husband Duane of Barberton, Ohio; and Sandra Crissinger Brown of Boynton; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Survived by sisters: Julia Miller of Meyersdale; Betty Paulus and Phyllis Cunningham of Baltimore, Md.; and Carol Duptstadt of Casselberry, Fla.; also numerous nieces and nephews. She was a housewife, worked at Meyersdale Manufacturing Company and was a cook at Kent State University in Ohio. Friends will be received Saturday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Hostetler Church of the Brethren in Greenville Township with Bishop Irvin Knieriem and grandson Anthony Roy Mostoller officiating. Interment at Hostetler Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic, Somerset, or Hostetler Church of the Brethren, Greenville Township.
