Troy Harrell, 97, of Paris, went to be with his Lord and his wife Violetta on February 1, 2015. He was born Troy O’Brian Harrell on August 20, 1917 in Honey Grove a son of William and Nora Harrell.

After retirement he and his family moved to Paris in 1976. He served our country during WWII in the U.S. Navy and also served our Lord as a Nazarene minister in Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his wife Violetta Harrell in 1994, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, a grandson Lloyd O’Brian Harrell, grand-daughter Brenda Jean Harrell, two sons-in-law William Edward Harding and Don Nelams.

Mr. Harrell is survived by 6 children; 30 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 5, 2015 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Dr. Michael Gentry officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
