Raymond L. Harrell, age 91, of Worthington, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014, at his residence. He was born in Honey Grove, Texas on January 15, 1923, the son of William E. and Nora Harrell. He was owner and operator of Capital City Sprinkler Service and H & H Oil Enterprises in Kentucky.
He is survived by nine children, Lalla Lee of Worthington, John Harrell of Bloomfield, Lois (Anthony) Evans of Indianapolis, Timothy (Valerie) Harrell of Spencer, Matthew (Kim) Harrell of Gosport, Karla Ohler of Florida, Wanda Mae (Pat) King of Dugger, Josh (Tammy) Harrell of Worthington, and Amy (Todd) Patterson of Doans; a brother, Troy Harrell; sisters, Edna Adkins and Irene Lewis; 22 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mae Catherine Harrell on November 9, 2013; an infant daughter, Ruby; brothers, Clyde, Jack, and Lloyd; sisters, Marie Mumma, Ruby Davenport, and Pauline Barnhart; and a son-in-law, Gene Lee.
Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 12 noon on Saturday, December 13, 2014. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Mooresville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
