Faye Sell , 96, of Amarillo, formerly of Perryton died Nov. 16, 2013.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Stephen United Methodist Church, 4600 S. Western, with Dr. Stan Cosby, the Rev. Ken Cole and the Rev. Calvin Powell, officiating.

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Heart Cemetery in Booker. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Faye was born at home on January 6, 1917, in Booker to William and Flora Widmer Rose. She was the third of ten children and grew up in a close knit, happy family.

She married Donald Sell on June 4, 1939, at the "Rose Home." He preceded her in death on October 15, 1993. She was also preceded in death by a son, Glyn Doyle Sell, on August 12, 1963, and by two brothers and five sisters.

Faye was a long time member of First United Methodist Church in Perryton. She and Donald were lifetime residents of Ochiltree County. They farmed and ranched throughout their 53 years together. They were also instrumental in the foundation of The Golden Spread Antique Machinery Association and helped establish The Museum of the Plains in Perryton.

Faye was blessed with many outstanding gifts and talents. She was an amazing seamstress and cook, but her greatest gift to her family was her undying and selfless love for them and her love for her Lord and Savior. She was a woman of deep faith and spent countless hours in prayer and reading her Bible. Her life was a true inspiration to her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by them.

Survivors include a son, Garland Sell and wife, Sharon, of Amarillo, a daughter, Glynda Sell, of Amarillo, two grandsons, Bryan McLain, of Saginaw, Tx. and Kerry McLain and wife, Deaun, of Amarillo. Other survivors include four great grandchildren: Kadi, Madison , Connor and Cooper and two sisters, Elton Tetters of Prescott, Az. and Gay Andler of Breaux Bridge, La. and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by close friend, Cindy Borland, whom she considered to be another daughter.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ware Memorial Nursing Home and BSA Hospice for their kind and compassionate care and suggests memorials be to St. Stephen UMC, 4600 S. Western, Amarillo, Tx. 79l09 or to the Amarillo Camp of the Gideons International.
