Born in Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Chester Ford Blackmon and Zelma Couch Blackmon. Mr. Blackmon was a member of Bible Fellowship Church. He was employed by Boyle Construction for 28 years and later retired from Boozer-Wharton. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by six sisters and a brother.
