Sarah Sara Bazzle, age 82, of North Charleston SC died Sunday, August 12th 2007 at a local hospital. She was born on September 19th, 1924 in Turbeville SC to the late Chester Blackmon and Zelma Couch Blackmon. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a former employee of the State Port Authority where she worked as a secretary, and of BellSouth where she worked as a customer service representative. She was a Charter Member of Friendship Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters: Jacqualine D. De La Mater of Gilbert AZ, Debra B. Fowler of North Charleston SC, , and Donna B. Robinson of North Charleston SC; sons-in-law: John T. De La Mater , Jewel F. Fowler; grandchildren: John Kevin De La Mater of Chandler AZ, Christine Noel Smith of Queen Creek AZ, Charlotte Elizabeth Ferrer of North Charleston SC, Gary Shane Coker of Folly Beach SC, Steven Blake Coker of James Island SC, Anthony Troy Driscoll of North Charleston SC,; Great grandchildren: Erin, Amanda, Joseph, and Abby De La Mater, Madison Smith, Dean Smith, Samantha Morris; brothers: Chester Blackmon, Steve Blackmon, and Donald Blackmon; sister: Hazeline Hill. She was preceded in death by her brother: Waddel Blackmon, and sisters: Kathleen Green, Carolyn Trusdale, Margaret Holliday, and Edith Aldrich. Funeral will be at 3:00 PM Thursday, August 16th 2007 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston SC 29406. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 15th 2007 at the funeral home. The family is accepting floral tributes, or memorials may be made in Sara Bazzle's name to Hospice of Charleston Center, 676 Wando Park Drive, Mt Pleasant SC 29466.
