Laura Johnson, 66, died Sunday in a Minot hospital. She had been in poor health for a extensive number of years.

Laura was born March 11, 1993, in Holmes, Grand Forks County.

Mrs. Johnson the former Laura Kleven, was first married to Knute Hagen. Following their marriage, they lived in Shealey TWP, Ward County, south of Berthold. Mr. Hagen died July 17, 1915.

On June 9, 1918, she married Anton Johnson in Minot. They made their home in Ryder for an extensive period of time, moving later to Tolgen TWP. They went to Minot in 1941. After Mr. Johnson's death on June 20, 1948, Mrs. Johnson continued to make her home here. She operated a nursing home in Minot for several years.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Berthold and Minot.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arvin Gunderson, Plaza, and Mrs. Arthur Snyder, Minot; nine sons, Lawrence Hagen, Berthold, Bloyd, Roland, Donald, Arnold, Alvin, Melvin, Willard, and Leonard, all of Minot; three step daughters, Mrs. Peder Kleven, and Mrs. Mathilida Bermel, both of Minot, and Mrs. M.J. Davich, St. Paul, Minnesota; two step sons, John and Joseph Johnson, both of Berthold; three sisters, Mrs. Peter Hallan, Thief River Falls, Minnesota, Mrs. H.G. Austtrig, Minot, and Mrs. Gordon Braaton, Chicago, Illinois; a brother, John Kleven, Grand Forks; 34 grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

A son, Gerald, three sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday in the Minot Church.
