Funeral services for Virginia Brown 99, of Houston, will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 9, 2013 at First United Methodist Church Elkhart with Bro. Jeffrey Craft officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine. Mrs. Brown passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 in Houston. She was born November 28, 1913, in Houston County to Peter and Dora Kyle Bridges.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Elkhart and a homemaker.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, husband Pridgen Brown, sister Vernita Bridges, brothers; Jim Bridges, Lewis Bridges and Lee Bridges.
She is survived by her son Philip Brown and wife Pauline of Houston, brother Charles Bridges and wife Billie of Elkhart, two grandchildren; Nathan and Rosalyn Brown.
Pallbearers will be Ronny Bridges, Larry Bridges, Eddie Bridges, Bobby Bridges, Wilbur Bridges and Ricky Bridges.
Condolence calls will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at Bailey & Foster Palestine.
