Claysville resident was WWII U.S. Army veteran

Ronald Dean Mounts, 81, of Claysville, Pennsylvania died Monday,
December 10, 2007, in Kade Nursing Home, Washington.

He was born May 11, 1926, in Claysville (Buffalo Township), a son of William Harrison and Sylvia Jane Scott Mounts.

Mr. Mounts was a member of Living Waters Church of God, Washington.

He worked for Weber Furniture and Herd's Drug Store until his retirement.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Mounts enjoyed visiting family, sitting on the front porch, watching TV and eating pie during his retirement.

On April 5, 1947, he married Helen Caroline Phillips, who
died May 15, 2005. Together, they had celebrated 58 years of
marriage.

Also surviving are three sons, the Rev. Ronald D. (Karen) Mounts of New Castle, Lawrence H. (Debby) Mounts of Washington and Timothy L. (Mary Jane) Mounts of Claysville; a daughter-in-law, Charmane Mounts of
Claysville; a brother, Sherman Mounts, and a sister, Martha Rinehart, both of Claysville; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a son, F. Stanley Mounts; four brothers, Cephas, Charles, Melvin and William Mounts and two sisters, Mildred Applegate and Louise Breese.

Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery or West Finley Cemetery, R.D. 2, West Finley, Pennsylvania.
