LANSING - Otto M. Schmidt, 68, for many years a Lansing resident, died Friday in Mt. Vernon, Wash., where he moved after retiring three years ago as vice president of McNamara Motor Freight, Inc. of Chicago.

Mr. Schmidt is survived by his widow; two sons, Arthur in the U.S. Army, and Donald of Pacifica, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs.. Marietta Roskamp, Cedar Falls, Iowa; Mrs. Mildred Jongsma and Mrs. Patricia Siegers, Lansing, Funeral services will be held Tuesday in Mt. Vernon.
