Roland Blackburn, 74, 399 River St., died last night at the Hale Hospital after a short illness.
He was born in Lawrence, son of the late Joseph and Mary Jane (Bamford) Blackburn. He lived in Haverhill for 50 years and was a member of World War I Barracks No. 212.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Valerie (Durocher) Blackburn; a son, Robert Blackburn, both of Haverhill; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Saturday at the Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, at a time to be announced.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be tonight from 7 to 9 and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
