MRS. CLYDE BARNES, the beloved first wife of Mr. General Barnes, was born in Lucama, North Carolina. Their union was blessed with six daughters and three sons.
Clyde was a dedicated wife and mother. Clyde was a Christian Woman, reared her children in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Clyde loved to up-keep her home and to cook home made meals for her family and friends. Clyde would help anyone that needed a helping hand, her family, her friends and her neighbors could depend on Clyde for support, for wisdom, for guidance, for encouragement, and a listening ear. Clyde was a loving, kind, caring, and compassionate person. Clyde could make numerous of friends wherever she went and Clyde will be sincerely missed by all who loved and knew her.
Clyde leaves to Mourn her loving memories: her devoted husband~ Mr. General Barnes; her six daughters~ Ruth, Maggie, Lucy, Irene, Odessa and Mildred; her three sons~ Darthur, Wiley and John Dallas and a host of other relatives and friends.
NOTE: Mrs. Clyde Barnes was murder on her son's eight birthday, Darthur Barnes August 6, 1932. Mrs. Clyde Barnes was murder by her son-in-law, Mr. William Bunn.
