On July 21, 1998 God sent his angels to Fallston General Hospital to bring Brother Baines home from labor to reward.
He attended Lucama School. Brother Baines worked for the Sea Board Line and the Atlantic Coast Line where he was was employed for forty years,
Jake loved home cooked meals, talking with family and friends, baseball and hunting.
Jake was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Maggie Barnes and from this Union thirteen children were born. Two sons proceeded him in death (Jake Jr. and James Arthur Baines.)
Brother Jake as he was affectionately called leaves to cherish
his loving memories six daughters; Dorothy, Virginia, Lillie, Jackie, Helen, and Paulette; five sons; John, Charles, Dennis, Anthony, Christopher; thirty eight grand children; forty two great grand children; six great great grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, and other friends.
