MONTGOMERY — Benjamin Yoder, 81, died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at his residence. Born Feb. 1, 1930, in Daviess County, he was the son of John L. and Mattie (Wagler) Yoder. He was a member of the Tourist Mennonite Church in Sarasota, Fla., and attended Berea Mennonite Church in Cannelburg. He is survived by his wife, Anna (Stoll) Yoder, whom he married April 18, 1949; three daughters and sons-in-law, Pauline and Larry Coldiron of Akron, Ohio, Marilyn and Firman Troyer of Inverness, Fla., and Sharon and Ed Miller of Sugarcreek, Ohio; five sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Shirley Yoder of Montgomery, Dwight and Beverly Yoder of Washington, John G. and Joy Yoder of Sarasota, Fla., Gary and Shannon Yoder and Mark and Carmen Yoder, all of Montgomery; one brother, William Yoder of Odon; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ida Mae and Dave Wagler of Mayslick, Ky., and Sarah McGuire of Montgomery; one brother-in-law, Jonas Schrock of Elnora; one sister-in-law, Lydia Yoder of Washington; 23 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Rachel and her husband John H. Wagler, Mary and her husband Virgil Stoll, Leah Yoder and Anna Schrock; one brother, Joseph Yoder; and one sister-in-law, Rosanna Yoder. The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Berea Mennonite Church in Cannelburg. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
