Jo Corn passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, in Rusk. She was born April 29, 1919, to Thomas Stephen and Mattie Pullen Hester in Douglass. She lived in Puerto Rico before moving to San Diego, Calif., where she was a bookkeeper for General Dynamics for 41 years. She served her country in World War II by working as a riveter on warships. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Douglass and enjoyed RV trips in the summers to Oregon and other places in the U.S. with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Corn; two sisters, Hazel Brunet and Jonnie Courtney; one brother, Roscoe Hester; and two half brothers, Ace Hester and Thomas Sterling.

Survivors include a brother, a sister and brother-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
