MRS. MATTIE OLIVER

Mrs. Mattie Oliver, 72, Wheaton, died in Elsie's Nursing Home in Monett Monday evening. she had been a patient there the past 14 months.

Born in Heavener, Okla., Dec. 20, 1890, Mrs. Oliver was the daughter of the late John and Sarah Fortner. she had lived in the Wheaton area for many years and was a member of the Wheaton Baptist Church.

Surviving are four sons, Argyle Haynes, Wheaton, Earl Haynes, Poplar Bluff, Lloyd Haynes, Joplin, and Charles Haynes, Springfield, three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Gardner, Mount Shasta, California, Mrs. Pearl Howes, Portland, Ore, and Mrs. Iva Mae Collings, Wheaton, 35 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Wheaton Baptist Church. The Rev. Anthony will officiate and burial will be in the Rocky Comfort Cemetery under direction of the McQueen Funeral Home of Wheaton.
