Iva Mae Montgomery, age 89, of Exeter, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Freeman Hospital in Neosho, Missouri.

She was born April 16, 1929 in Newton County, Missouri, the daughter of William Luther and Mattie (Fortner) Haynes. In 1948 she was united in marriage to Willie Collings, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents, five brothers and two sisters.

In 1976 she married Robert Clayton Montgomery, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, and her husband; two grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
Iva Mae received her education in Oklahoma. She returned to Southwest Missouri where she and Clayton owned and operated a cattle farm. She attended First Baptist Church in Exeter, Missouri.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Exeter, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton, Missouri.Pastor Jerry Yarnall will conduct the services. Burial will be at Rocky Comfort Cemetery in Rocky Comfort, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Thursday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton, Missouri.
