Lena R. Stoner, 87, of 115 Green St., Mount Union, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon.
Born Feb. 10, 1926, in Hollidaysburg, Blair County, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Dessie M. (Teeters) Hatch. Her husband, whom she married Dec. 21, 1945, preceded her in death Jan. 7, 1995.
Mrs. Stoner is survived by a son, Robert H. Stoner of Shirleysburg, seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a sister, Betty Gunsauley of Mill Creek.
She was preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Stoner was of the Protestant faith.
She owned and operated the former Hole in the Wall restaurant, Mount Union, for 17 years. Mrs. Stoner was last employed in 1972.
Mrs. Stoner enjoyed playing bingo. She loved spending time with her family.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with the Rev. Greg Harven officiating. Interment will be made in Haven Rest Memorial Park, Croghan Pike, Shirleysburg.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
