Born Sept. 9, 1948, in Huntingdon, he was a son of the late James C. Sr. and Lena (Hatch) Stoner.
Mr. Stoner is survived by his daughter, Wendy Smith, and son, Robert H. Stoner Jr., both of Mount Union; and three grandchildren, Kayla Smith, Robert Stoner III and Kelsey Martin.
He is also survived by three nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lena Mondo, and brother, James Stoner Jr.
Mr. Stoner served in the United States Army.
He enjoyed old westerns, listening to country music and collecting old coins and paper.
Friends will be received 4-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, at Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E. Shirley St., Mount Union, “Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care™,” where military honors will be conducted at 3:45 p.m. by the VFW and American Legion Honor and Color Guard.
