Betty Jane (Hatch) Bush- Gunsauley, 85, of 360 Westminster Woods, Huntingdon, died at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at The Oaks at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon.
Born Feb. 27, 1932, in Tyrone, Blair County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Dessa (Teeters) Hatch. From the age of 7, she was reared by Jim and Rose Felton and Frank and Edna McKinney. She was first united in marriage to Floyd Bush, who preceded her in death. She later married Clarence Gunsauley, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bush-Gunsauley is survived by three daughters, Barbara (Bush) Casner and husband, Rex, of Mill Creek, Betty (Bush) Ross and husband, Bob, of Huntingdon, and Shirley Bush of Carlisle; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a sister, Martha (Hatch) Miller of Altoona.
She was preceded in death by two sons, James Bush and Floyd Bush Jr.; sisters, Edna Aurand-Murphy, Ella Shab, Margaret Robenolt, Ann Bartlebaugh, Lena Stoner and Shirley Snyder-Glines; and brothers, George Hatch, Andrew Hatch and James Hatch.
Mrs. Bush-Gunsauley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carlisle.
She attended Hawn’s Bridge School through the Huntingdon County school system.
Mrs. Bush-Gunsauley had numerous jobs throughout her life and was primarily a homemaker.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening and especially spending time with her family.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Georgetta “Cookie” Hartley. Interment will be made in the White Church Cemetery, Hesston.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
