Jonathan would later become known as Deacon Porter of the Coventry Church of Christ. They had seven children of record b. at Coventry, but it is unclear whether all seven survived to maturity:
• i. Lois Porter, b. Apr. 14, 1759, d. May 20, 1814 at Coventry (g.s.); m. Feb. 21, 1780 at Coventry, Lieut. Joseph Kingsbury, s. of Ebenezer and Priscilla (Kingsbury) Kingsbury, b. Apr. 19, 1753 at Coventry. He d. at Coventry Apr. 13, 1828 (g.s). Eleven children of the family.
• ii. Mercy Porter, b. May 22, 1760, d. after April 1808; m. 1) June 29, 1780 at Coventry, Capt. Samuel Robertson, Jr., s. of Capt. Samuel Robertson, Sr. and Martha Badcock, b. Jan. 3, 1746/7 at Coventry. He d. July 20, 1797 (g.s.). Mercy m. 2) Nov. 26, 1798 at Coventry as his 2nd wife, Frederick Phelps of Hebron, Conn., who d. at Hebron June 30, 1807.
• iii. Rachel Porter, b. May 28, 1761.
• iv. Persis Porter, b. July 10, 1762, d. Apr. 1, 1831 at Coventry (g.s.); m. at an unknown date, Dr. Daniel Avery, b. circa 1760-61. He d. Sept. 27, 1841 at Coventry (g.s.). They had no documented children.
• v. Amaziah Porter, b. Dec. 2, 1763.
• vi. Irene Porter, b. Mar. 6, 1765.
• vii. Jonathan Porter, b. Apr. 5, 1766.
