On Monday at 5 P.M., at the residence of Nathan Hammel, occurred the death of his son, Charles G. Hammel. He was 23 years old and a robust, hearty young man. Up to the time typhoid fever ended his days here on earth he had been employed in the carpenter business. He was called to Mississippi four weeks ago but only remained a few days. He came home sick and grew worse daily. The funeral services were held in the Christian church here Wednesday, Rev. Samuel Godrey officiating. Interment at Concord.
