Dorothy E. Funk Julian Armstrong, 69, of Glendale, Ariz., and formerly of Terre Haute died May 4, 2005, in Glendale. She was born Nov. 11, 1935, in Terre Haute to James Funk and Marie Funk. Her second husband, James F. Armstrong, preceded her in death March 22, 1993. Survivors include two sons, James and his wife, Nicole of Glendale, and Mark of Fort Wayne; three daughters from her first husband, Myrna Burns and her husband, Edwin of Alma, Ark., Myra Reed and her husband, Rubel of Dyer, Ark., and Judy Parks and her husband, Roger, also of Alma; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; four brothers, William, Mickey, Larry and Charles, all of Terre Haute, and Richard of Carrollton, Ga.; two sisters, Peggy Cude of Glenpoole, Okla., and Evelyn Nevins of Brazil. She also was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and seven brothers. Memorial services with the Rev. Melvin Wilkinson officiating are 11 a.m. Saturday in Bethesda Cemetery in West Terre Haute, where her remains and those of James will be buried together.
