Born April 6, 1906, in Keosauqua, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Priscilla (Huffman) Barnett. She married Ray Marshall on Jan. 13, 1931. He died Aug. 19, 1954. She married Roy Heisel on March 23, 1958. He died March 8, 1967.
She worked as a dietary cook at Moore's Nursing Home in Stockport and cared for children in her home. She was a member of the Stockport Christian Church.
Survivors are four stepchildren, Allan Heisel and Beverly Mason, both of Burlington, Shirley Hermann of Amarillo, Texas, and Betty Davis of Wichita, KS; 14 step-grandchildren; and one sister, Phyllis Marshall of Mount Pleasant.
Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.
The funeral for Mrs. Heisel will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Pedrick Funeral Home with the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery near Stockport.
A memorial has been established for the Stockport First Responders. Contributions may be left at the Pedrick Funeral Home.
