Mrs. Claude Mathews [Leila Gertrude Felkey Mathews] of Armstrong, a cousin of Mrs. Lorenzo Lough, Mrs. Gail Morse, and Mrs. Kenneth Turner and a niece of Mrs. O. Neville died Tuesday [February 29, 1916] morning at the home of her mother, Mrs. Harvey Felky, after a lingering illness caused by abscess on the lungs. Deceased leaves a husband and several children besides her parents. The funeral services will be held in Armstrong Thursday afternoon. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, March 1, 1916)
