Mrs. Mary (Mayme) Peterson, 82, Armstrong, died at 3:30 p.m. July 18, 1973, at Valley Vue Nursing Home, Armstrong, from infirmities of old age. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Presbyterian Church, Armstrong, with the Rev. Leslie Lewis officiating. Burial will be made in Armstrong Grove Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 23, 1890, in Armstrong Grove Township to Mr. and Mrs. George Felkey and educated in rural schools. On Dec. 2, 1908, she was married to Chris N. Peterson in Halfa. They farmed in the Armstrong area until 1927, when they moved into town and she had lived there ever since. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Armstrong, and the Royal Neighbors of America.
She is survived by two sons, Harold G. Peterson and Marvin Peterson, both of Armstrong; one daughter, Mrs. Edna Timm, Fairmont; seven grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband in 1961, four brothers and three sisters.
