Minnie Jones Overby, died age 67, on April 28, 1956 in Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia. She died from coronary thrombosis, hypertensive arteriovascular disease which was complicated by diabetes mellitus at the Hall County Hospital. She was the daughter of Henry M. Jones and Lucille Americus "Matt" Martin, both from Georgia. She had eight siblings: Glen, Lucille, Sandi, Sarah A., Dora A., Hoke Henry, Julia Elizabeth, and William Lovic (Tovie) Jones.

She married Henry Clinton "Clint" Overby at age 15 on July 5, 1903 in Forsyth County, Georgia. To this union they had 18 children: Ila, Willie, Addie Velma, Charles Henry, Lessie, Nancy R., Collie Luther "Bill", Polly, Dorothy L., Hortense, Howard Wadley, Clinton Overby, Jr., Florence B, Allen H., Tot, Mildred "Dimples," Edsel, and Baby Overby.

She lived most of her life in North Georgia. For a few years, her and her husband and children lived in Amboy, Turner County, Georgia as evident of the 1930 Census but then eventually moved back to Gainesville, Georgia. I don't know why the move, but during the time immediately before or right after the move, a total of seven of their children died, mostly 1929 and 1930.

She is buried next to her husband in the old portion of Hillcrest Cemetery, known as Buford Cemetery. Also, buried in the family plot are their small children Edsel and Baby Overby.
