Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2: p.m. at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for Collie Luther "Bill" Overby, 66, of 44 Shallowford Road, Gainesville.
The Rev. Lewis Welch, the Rev. Reynolds Satterfield, the REv. Dover Phillips, and the Rev. Elmo Cochran will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. The body is at the residence.
Mr. Overby, a native of Gwinnett County, who had lived in Hall County most of his life, died yesterday at the Hall County Hospital following an extended illness. He had been a member the Fairview Baptist Church for 15 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. C. L. Overby, Gainesville; one son, Lamar Overby, Gainesville; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Ray, Mrs. Lucille Bryant, Mrs. Cathy Woodall, all of Gainesville; Mrs. Carolyn Masuck, Woodstock; four brothers, Charlie Overby, Ashwood, Eddie Young, Buford, Waddell Overby, Visalia; Allie Overby, Gainesville; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Gordon, Marietta; Mrs. Lessie Massey, Rebecca; and 13 grandchildren.
Strickland-Vickers Funeral Home of Gainesville is in charge.
