Lucy Americus Martin Jones was the daughter of CSA soldier Berry W. Martin and Nancy Mackey, both of Georgia. She was born in 1857 in Georgia. She had six siblings to include five sisters: Elizabeth, H.A., Nancy A., Susan A., Hannah M. Martin and and one brother: Jacob David "Jake' Martin.
She married Henry M. Jones in 1879 when she was 22 years old. To this union, they had nine children: Glen, Lucille, Sandi, Sara A., Dora A., Minnie Jones (Overby), Hoke Henry, Julia Elizabeth, and William Lovic (Tovie) Jones.
She lived all of her life in North Georgia. She last appears on the 1930 Census in Wilsons, Hall County, Georgia. The 1940 Census shows her husband Henry widowed.
Her burial/grave is unknown at present until such time more research reveals additional information.
