The Wellington Leader September 24, 1969

William Luster Gravley, 68, a long-time Quanah resident, died Tuesday, September 16. The Gravley family formerly lived west of Hollis and he was well known in this area.

Born August 24, 1092 in Jacksboro, GA, Mr. Gravley was an employee of the QA&P Ry.

He was married to Vara Bell Shaley in Quanah in 1925. He was a Baptist.

Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Bill Van Winkle of Quanah; a granddaughter and great-granddaughter; and four brothers and seven sisters: Harley and Jack of Quanah, C. Martin of Childress, Eugene of Grand Prairie, Mrs. Delmar Beard of Hollis, Mrs. Pratt Foard of Brice, Mrs. Ola Mae Forbis of Wellington, and Mrs. R. E. McNutt of Weatherford.
