Before marriage, Mrs. Jones was Miss Elizabeth Shuler, of Grayson County, being the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. William Shuler; she was born on Nov. 17, 1871. She was highly esteemed for her leadership in the civic, moral and spiritual life in her community.
Surviving is her husband and the following children; Marvin L. Jones, of Five Oaks; Raymond Jones of Tazewell; Mrs. Bane Vandyke, of Jewell Ridge; Mrs. W. F. Kinder, of North Tazewell; Mrs. Tom Walk, of Tazewell and Mrs. John Kinder, of North Tazewell, 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, also one brother, Rev. James Shuler, Lawrence, Kansas; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Phillippi, Illinois, and a step-mother, Mrs. W. M. Shuler, of Marion, Va.
