Carl E. Carlson, age 93, of 540 McGraw Street, Peshtigo, Wisconsin, passed away at his home on October 22, 2004. He was born March 24, 1911, son of the late Enoch and Hannah (Jacobson) Carlson.

On February 3, 1934, he married the former Elfrieda Polzin and she preceded him on Nov. 7, 1980.

On Dec. 10, 1988, he married the former Vivian (Behnke) Schwittay.
Carl farmed all his life and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a member of the Men's Club. He was a former Town of Grover Supervisor and enjoyed playing cards.

He is survived by his wife Vivian;
a son Ronald (Joan)Carlson of Peshtigo, WI;
three daughters: Gloria (Gust) Buelteman of Menominee, MI; Barbara (Darrell) Dumke of Marinette, WI and Patricia (Michael) McMillen of Green Bay, WI;
a step-son Wayne (Barbara) Schwittay of Coleman, WI;
daughter-in-law Ardis Schwittay of Peshtigo, WI;
step-daughter Mary Ann Walker of Green Bay, WI;
a brother Daniel (JoAnn) Carlson of Marinette, WI;
two sisters: Evelyn (Dutch) Clark of Green Bay, WI and Doris Dueshcer of Peshtigo, WI;
a sister-in-law Joan Carlson of Marinette, WI;
11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents and first wife Elfrieda, he was preceded in death by one step-son Ron Schwittay, four brothers, 3 sisters, 1 step-great-grandson and one grandson Benjamin Lewis McMillen.

Visitation was held at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted at St. John's Lutheran Church in Grover. Burial in Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Marinette, WI.
