Doris Mae Duescher, age 88, passed away January 28, 2013 at Bay Area Medical Center. She was born on May 11, 1924 in Marinette to the late Enoch and Hannah (Jacobson) Carlson.


On June 30, 1945, she married Reuben E. Duescher at Trinity Lutheran Church in Marinette; he preceded her in death in February, 1990.


Doris was formerly employed at the Boreal Glove Factory in Marinette and farmed with her husband in the Town of Grover. She was affectionately known as "The Egg Lady" delivering eggs to local residents for over 50 years.


Doris is survived by her twin brother, Daniel Carlson of Marinette;

six children: Linda (Thomas) Welty, Dean (Joyce Duescher, John (Vicki) Duescher, Nan (Thomas) Baumgartener, Holly Ford and Renee (Timothy) Krause;

12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren;

a brother-in-law Lloyd Clark

and a granddaughter-in-law, Teresa Welty.


Along with her husband, Doris is preceded in death by two grandson, David Duescher and Alan Welty;

a son-in-law Michael Ford

and brothers and sisters: Clarence, Arthur, Elmer, Carl, Wesley, Arlene, Helen, Lillian and Evelyn.


Visitation and services at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Grover. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Marinette, WI.
