Mrs. Samuel McMaster aged 83 years, died at her home on Parr Hill, near Center Valley, on Friday at 5:30 p.m. following an illness of two weeks.

Mrs. McMaster was born at Center Valley in eastern Washington County on November 13, 1852. She was united in marriage with Samuel McMaster on July 15, 1869 and he died a number of years ago. Six of the 11 children born to Mr. and Mrs. McMaster survive. They are Albert McMaster of Matamoras, Mrs. Elizabeth Sine of Beaver, Pa., Mrs. Matilda Boughton of Coraopolis Pa., Mrs. Myrtle Bickerstaff of Steubenville; James McMaster of the home, and Mrs. Lois Danver of Matamoras. There are 30 grandchildren. Marshall Beaver of Marietta is the brother of the deceased and Mrs. Maggie Long of Wellsville is the sister. There are several great-grandchildren. Mrs. McMaster was a member of the U. B. Church and had lived in the Center Valley neighborhood all her life.
Funeral services will be held at the home on Sunday at 10 a.m. Interment will be made in Fairview cemetery. R. M. Cunningham of Matamoras is the funeral director.
