James Herbert McMasters was born in Matamoras Oct. 7, 1885, a son to the late Samuel and Marilla Beaver McMasters
On Dec 24, 1913, he married Bitha Mount, who died Nov. 16, 1974.
Two daughters survive, Mrs. Hildreth Church, Lowell Rt.2 and Mrs. Betty Enochs, Marietta Rt. 5, with nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. One son Clyde is deceased. Seven sisters and two brothers are also deceased. Mr. McMasters had engaged in farming in the Matamoras area. He was a member of Beavertown United Methodist Church.
