Eva Gertrude Vincent was born in Hammon, OK on March 21, 1924 and passed away June 21, 2013 at the age of 89. She was the daughter of Henry and Zura (Jones) Neff. She married Barney Ootton in 1941. In 1946 she married her second husband, Marvin Vincent. Gertie lived in Cheyenne, OK for several years before moving to Elk City in 1972.
Gertie was always a homemaker and loved her card games and bingo. She was always very giving to friends and family even if it took her last dollar. We will keep her in our memories and miss her very much.
She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Dennis Vincent in 1991 and J.C. "Tinker" Shaw Jr. in 2006.
She is survived by five sons; Trois Ootton of Shawnee, OK, Junior Ootton of Graham, TX, Steven Vincent of Elk City, OK, Rodney Vincent of Elk City, OK, and Jerry Vincent of Norman, OK, three daughters; Sue Noland of El Reno, OK, Pam Sevo of Sayre, OK, and Sandra Bullard of Odessa, TX; two sisters; Grace Poole of Elk City, OK, and Frances Kelley of Elk City, OK.
