Mrs. Irl (Agnes) House, 87, a former resident of the Cuba community, died August 1 at Hutchinson. She was the daughter of Nelson and Teressie Shimek Mapes.
Mrs. House taught rural school in the Cuba area. On June 27, 1917 she was united in marriage to Irl House in Kansas, City.
She is survived by seven sons: Irl Jr., of Reno, Nev.; Franklin of Hutchinson, Melvin of Manhattan, Dewey of Richmond, Calif., Hugh of Vallejo, Calif., Wilber of Marina, Calif., Merle of Harbor City, Calif; a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Knapp, Hutchinson.
Funeral services were he at ( a.m. Thursday, August 4, at Gustafson Funeral Home, Hutchinson. Graveside services were at 4 p.m. at Mill Creek (Haworth) Cemetery northeast of Cuba.
