Anna Dempsey
Anna, daughter of Nelson and Teresie Mapes, was born on a farm near Cuba, July 22, 1892 and departed this life at the St. Joseph's hospital in Omaha, Nebr., December 30, 1946 at the age of 54 years, five months and eight days.
She was united in marriage to Henry Dempsey on June 6, 1909. To this union were born one daughter and three sons.
Besides her daughter, Violet, and son, Lloyd of Portland, Ore., she leaves to mourn her passing two grandchildren, three brothers, William of Broughton, Wesley of Butte, Mont., and Edward of Haddam; two sisters, Emma Hubbard of Cuba and Agnes House of Hutchinson and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services conducted by Miss Nina Anderson of the Methodist church were held at the Hoffman Funeral Home in Haddam and burial was in the old Cuba cemetery.
