Mrs. Elvina M. Harter, widow of the late William Harter, of Tylersville, died at 10:35 o'clock last Thursday evening at the home of her son, Charles S. Harter, on North Fairview street, after a short illness caused by a fall. Mrs. Harter was born at Nittany on December 4, 1835, and was a daughter of the late Michael Schaeffer. She resided at Tylersville from the time ofher marriage until six years ago when she came to live with her son. She was a faithful member of the Tylersville Luteran church and was a teacher in the Sunday school for over 60 years. Deceased is survived by one son, Charles S. Harter, of this city; two grandchildren, Mrs. E.D.Rathmell, of Moore, Pa., and Paul C. Harter, of this city; two step grandchildren, Edna D.Rich and Mrs. Mary Rich Stouck, of this city. Funeral services were conducted at the Harter home Sunday afternoon. Interment was made in the Snydertown cemetery.
