Verna Eutha Briody, 69, of Watts, Okla., died Nov. 4, 1993, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born May 22, 1924, at Huntsville, the daughter of John and Mable Freaze Ledbetter.
Survivors include her husband, Sylvester Briody of the home; one son, Gaylord Evans of San Jose, Calif.; two daughters, Shirley Byars of Lincoln and Gloria Grubb of Watts; one stepson, Vic Briody of Colorado Springs; three stepdaughters, Mona Friese of Anchorage, Alaska, Sylvia Brown and Karen Apgar, both of Porter, Tex.; two brothers, Keith Ledbetter of Malaga, Wash., and Grady Neal of Fullerton, Calif.; four sisters, Neta Davis of Newburg, Calif., Avis Estep of Springdale, Jane Jayes of Fayetteville and Nola Welch of Selah, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, in Wedington Cemetery under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove.
