SERVICES FRIDAY FOR GERTRUDE STRICKLAND
Mrs. Gertrude (Buck) Ables Strickland, aged 64, of Hampton died December 17. A retired postal clerk, she was a member of the Trinity Chapel.
Survivors are two sons, Larry Menard Strickland, of Houston, Texas, Walter Phillip Strickland of Pine Bluff; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Southall of El Dorado and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Trinity Chapel Friday with burial in the Means Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Strickland, Fay Strickland, Searcy Harrell, Frank Tomlinson, Wilber (Slick) Porter, Larkin Ivy, Kermit Caswell, and Mark Southall.
Honorary Pallbearers were Bea Ivy, Alpha Porter, Vivian Caswell, Lillian Biggers, Billie Agnes Porter, Dee Tomlinson, Madrid Newton, Ozie Porter, Frances Watson, Louise Hollingsworth, Emma Jean Thomason and Elaine Bough.
