JOHN ABLES DIES WEDNESDAY AT AGE 95
John L. Ables, 95, of Hampton died Wednesday, July 5. The funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Chapel near Hampton under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Mr. Ables was born January 22, 1883, near Hampton, the son of Charles and Louisa McFarland Ables. He was a lifelong resident of the Hampton area, a retired farmer and a member of Trinity Chapel.
He was preceeded in death by his wife, Rhoda Hannegan Ables and one son, Amos Ables.
Survivors include one son, Clifton Ables of Hampton, two daughters, Mrs. C. L. Southall of El Dorado and Mrs. Walter Strickland of Hampton; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Haynes.
